Dr. Downhill has recently finished the California Institute of Integral Studies Certificate Program in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy and Research. (CPTR) Dr. Downhill’s other primary specialities in psychiatry are Consultation Liaison Psychiatry, which deals with understanding and treating intertwined physical illness and Mental Health; the study and treatment of the illness of schizophrenia; and Addiction Psychiatry. Dr. Downhill has 20 plus years of clinical experience in areas such as Emergency Psychiatry, Consult Liaison Psychiatry, Inpatient and Outpatient psychiatry and Substance Abuse treatment and now Psychedelic Assisted Therapy.
