About this retreat

We’re not here to convince you to take Ayahuasca; that is between you and your spirit. But if you feel the call to work with this master plant, it is our intention to create the space where you can do so privately and with absolute safety. We offer a place free of distraction, energetically sustained and contained; a beautiful setting far from the madding crowd and close to nature. Our ayahuasquera trained with the Shipibo in the Peruvian Amazon and our Ayahuasca is prepared by Shipibo medicine men from whom we collect it personally and hand-carry it to Mexico. We do this to sustain our connection to the medicine and preserve its integrity. Change is inevitable; personal transformation is a choice. Make the choice.

Venue amenities

luestone retreats take place at Casa de La Tortuga, an oceanfront villa located just north of Cancun on a quiet, sparsely populated stretch of shoreline. The area is home to few residents and free of commercial activity. Casa de La Tortuga is awash with sunlight by day and the light of a million stars by night. It is continually refreshed by the cleansing and healing energies only the open ocean can provide. We offer a stress-free environment, energetically contained and sustained; far from the maddening crowd and alive with the murmurings of Mother Earth. This venue was chosen to let you take maximum advantage of the medicine and the processes it brings up for you. All accommodations face the water, have personal balconies, en-suite bathrooms and air-conditioning. The grounds are spacious with both a pool and home gym.

More information

We are a family, a tribe of the soul. We work in English and in Spanish. The founder of Bluestone handles outreach and organization so you’ll meet her first. She’s an American who has lived for over 40 years in Latin America, the last 12 working with Ayahuasca in both Peru and Mexico. She speaks your language and with many of you she shares a culture. Bluestone co-founder, and our medicine woman hails from Veracruz, Mexico. She is focused and committed, an intuitive and gifted healer with years of experience. Our resident Man of Fire/Aguila de Fuego is a youth carrying the wisdom and consciousness of an elder with an uncanny connection to the element of fire. All of us return periodically to Peru to work with the Shipibo, the Amazonian culture whose principal medicine is Ayahuasca, in order to strengthen our connection with the medicine and continue with our personal work. To every retreat we bring in two or more guest therapists skilled in a variety of healing modalities to broaden and deepen your work with the medicine. We take the medicine with you; we are there for you and on call at all times. We know what it means to go through a process; we are good companions for this journey, so whether you come as a novice or an experienced taker of medicina, you’re in good hands.
