About

Hi, I’m Leia! I love to connect the dots as a coach, teacher, writer, and permaculturist.

I’m a queer, white, jew-ish, polyamorous, middle-class, cis-gender, psychedelic woman. Born and raised on unceded Pawtucket land, colonially known as Lowell, MA, I obtained my master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Rivier University and worked as an in-home therapist before psychedelics turned my world inside out. Now I help people prepare for and integrate their psychedelic journey toward growth and transformation.

My healing journey began in 2011. Through therapy, psychedelics, and social support, I was able to heal from multiple eating disorders and body dysmorphia. I began helping people with the terrain of psychedelia through education, activism, and coaching in 2016. I am also an adjunct psychology professor, a writer, and have been a tutor/mentor for the last 13 years.

I believe that our relationship with ourselves is the foundation of health and well-being. I hope that psychedelics can wake up the world to the value of exploring consciousness and the potential for healing ourselves, our communities, and the planet.

I practice IFS, Psychedelic Somatic Interactional Therapy, coaching and talk therapy with a relational, developmental and somatic lens.

How I work with clients

I believe that the greatest untapped strength of humans is in our ability to connect and to practice love. My favorite definition of love comes from the book All About Love by bell hooks. She quotes M. Scott Peck: "Love is the will to extend one's self for the purpose of nurturing one's own or another's spiritual growth... Love is as love does. Love is an act of will, both an intention and an action." In my practice, I help people get into deeper connection and love with themselves and the world around them, from other humans to animals, plants, fungi, minerals, and beyond. Psychedelic work is such a powerful way to catalyze this process of coming home to our true nature, so I am here on the other side of that to help you integrate more love and presence in your daily life. I am affirming of all genders, sexualities, and relationship orientations. I try to tailor our work together to fit with what your worldview is and what experiences you've had, what resonates with you, how you like to learn and grow. I often draw on the wisdom of nature in my coaching work, as I find this speaks to many of us and deepens our connection to the earth (which research shows can have long-term benefits for our mental and physical health). I have helped people to bridge family/friend/social divides over psychedelic medicine, as many of our loved ones are still in the dark about the healing potential of psychedelics. I also provide psychedelic career development coaching for anyone who is interested in becoming part of this movement. If desired, I offer accountability reminders and support between sessions through text check-ins.
