Tianlai Tang, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist who also has a PhD in psychopharmacology. He has over 20 years of clinical experience and currently practices out of the Nashville Brain Institute in Hermitage, Nashville, and Brentwood, Tennessee.

Dr. Tang earned his medical degree from the Second Military Medical University in Shanghai, China, continuing to the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland, where he earned his doctoral degree in psychopharmacology. Afterward, he completed a fellowship in clinical pharmacology from the University of Illinois at Peoria and his psychiatry residency at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
The doctor is a former Attending and Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and now stays up-to-date on the latest medical advances as an active member of the American Psychiatric Association.
