About
April is a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Hakomi Therapist (CHT). April believes in the healing power of new experiences and that with courage and gentleness everyone can grow and heal, regardless of current or past circumstances. She is inspired by work that brings together her mind, heart, body and soul, as well as, her trust in the intrinsic wholeness of her clients. April offers therapy, healing intensives, clinical skills support, contact with nature, mindfulness, rites of passage and ceremony for adults, couples, and groups. Requests for custom groups, ceremonies or trips are welcome. April has lived outside of the US for more than a decade (mainly in Latin America) and brings a background in international development focusing on child protection, social entrepreneurship, sustainable agriculture and environmental education. For this reason, although she works with all types of people, she has a special interest in those going through cross-cultural transitions as immigrants, refugees, aid workers, or study abroad students.
