Dr. David Manno is the owner and chief physician at Midwest Alternative Treatment Clinic. He has been practicing medicine for the past 22 years as an Emergency Medicine (ER) physician. In addition to running Midwest Alternative Treatment clinic, he is an ER doctor at Rush Oak Park Hospital. As an ER doctor Dr. Manno has administered ketamine to hundreds of patients safely and effectively. Once he learned of ketamine’s possibilities to improve mental health, his research led him to open Midwest Alternative Treatment Clinic so he can help patients with mental health conditions. Dr. Manno was originally drawn to medicine because it’s so challenging, vast and complex. “Medicine is the biggest mental challenge you’ll ever have. I can always learn something new, and relearn things I thought were true. Then when you bring your brain to the bedside, you interface with humans, and synthesize a way to make the patient feel better. That’s why ketamine is so amazing.
