About

I offer affirming psychotherapy and sex therapy for individuals, couples, multiple-partner relationships, and poly and leather families, both in-person and remotely. I am an expert in alternative sexualities, and I specialize in working with adults in the kink/BDSM, polyamorous/non-monogamous, trans/gender-nonconforming/non-binary, LGBQIA+, and sex work communities. I work with those who live openly and out; and those who have more conservative and private lifestyles. My approach is holistic, person-centered, and collaborative. I welcome people of every ability, age, gender, national origin, race/ethnicity, religious affiliation, and sexual orientation. As a white anti-racist therapist, I create space for conversations that de/reconstruct whiteness, and cultivate positive racial and intersectional identities. I have been a member of and mentor in New York City’s BDSM and LGBTQ communities for about two decades. I hold a Master of Arts (MA) in Psychology, a Master of Social Work (MSW), a Master of Education (MEd) in Human Sexuality, and a Doctoral degree (PhD) in clinical sexology. I’m licensed to practice psychotherapy in New York State (LCSW license # 086704), Washington DC (LICSW license # LC200002083), and Colorado (CSW license # 09928901), and an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist (CST) and CST Supervisor. I’ve completed EMDRIA-approved EMDR Basic Training through the Parnell Institute, which specializes in Attachment-Focused EMDR, and I have a certificate in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy training.

How I work with clients

I have a private practice in Manhattan, and I work with people across the spectrum of power role identification, gender expression, and sexual orientation, as well as those who are unsure of or evolving through identifications. My therapeutic approach is psychodynamic-based, person-centered, holistic, and tailored to fit the people I work with; I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all therapeutic approach, and integrate different methods as each collaboration indicates.
