Dr. Deborah Kim is a board-certified adult psychiatrist in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and a Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She has been treating patients for over 15 years and has extensive knowledge regarding the use of psychopharmacology and other biological treatments for mental illness. Dr. Kim specializes in the treatment of perinatal (during and after pregnancy) mood and anxiety disorders. Additionally, Dr. Kim has expertise in the treatment of patients with major medical co-morbidities, PMS/PMDD, menopausal issues and bipolar disorder. She is often sought out by patients who have treatment resistant illnesses and are looking for novel options. Dr. Kim has been using transcranial magnetic stimulation in research studies since 2005 and is clinically certified in treating patients with TMS. She has now added IV ketamine to her practice as an additional treatment option for patients with depression and anxiety who have not responded to other treatments.
