About
Imagine your psychedelic journey as an exhilarating mountain climb, with breathtaking views and challenging terrain. Integrating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is like having an experienced mountaineering guide. I use ACT (an approach often used in clinical trials for psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy) to be that guide, to facilitate psychedelic integration. ACT equips you with the essential tools and strategies to navigate the peaks and valleys of your inner landscape. It helps you harness the power of your emotions, like a skilled climber using the force of the wind to propel them forward.
We want to use the psychedelic experience as an opportunity to transcend the limitations of language, of the symbolic limits we place on ourselves–our own narratives, labels, self-talk. Our behaviors have worked at some point in our lives, but they may now be obsolete. However, entrenched behavioral patterns persist and we can’t easily get out of them. Thus, I help clients act from the feet up as opposed to the mind down–to take flexible and purposeful action.
